G A B R I E L L E D U N K L E Y ’s writing asks readers to swim in an ocean like a blind man does, not knowing the depths of which you wade. Her poetry and prose has been described as “bleach-coated honesty”, tucking a floodlight beneath the epithelial, exposing the things you did not know were transparent.
Gabrielle Dunkley is a Writebloody Publishing author finalist, Jimenez-Porter Literary Prize winner for poetry, and has been published twice in Stylus a journal of literature and art. She is president of TerPoets, an open-mic venue that has featured many world renowned poets such as Anis Mojgani, Andrea Gibson, Regie Cabico, Buddy Wakefield, and Derrick Brown. Dunkley spends her nights writing manuscripts during the wee hours of the morning in the Writers’ House basement. She is known for her incessant hat wearing, mysophobia, and soothing voice.
